The Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl has famously made a habit out of bringing lucky fans onstage to rock out with the band. There was the guy dressed as Gene Simmons from KISS who played “Monkey Wrench” in Austin. Before that, another fan got the play the same song onstage in Australia. Then there was the University of South Carolina student who Grohl had play drums on “Under Pressure”, and well, the list goes on.
The latest Foo Fighters fan invited onstage to jam was the youngest yet: a 10-year-old named Collier Cash Rule who absolutely stole the show Friday night at a concert in Kansas City Missouri.
When Grohl asked if he could play any instruments and new any songs, Rule advised that he not only plays guitar but he knows plenty of Metallica songs to the whoops of the crowd.
Pretty soon, video posted on YouTube above showed that Rule did a surprisingly rocking cover of “Enter Sandman” with Rule on lead, playing Grohl’s guitar, and Grohl singing the 1991 hit, Side note: Ever notice that Grohl looks a bit like Hetfield did back when he still had long hair in the early 90s?
Anyways, Grohl and the rest of the Foos were so impressed by Rule, he was given Grohl’s guitar after the song ended, and gave Grohl a hug that might even bring a tear to your eye. And that was after young Collier played a little of “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” as a bonus. Basically, this kid totally crushed his moment in the spotlight.
After the concert, Rule’s mother told KMBC News that her son had been playing for two years, and practices every day before and after school.

DENVER—Realizing with horror that they had forgotten to do a final sweep of the neonatal intensive care unit, nurses at Saint Joseph Hospital were reportedly mortified to discover a 40-pound baby Monday after accidentally leaving it in an incubator over the weekend. “Oh, God, it totally slipped my mind that we were…
If you thought you could leave a killer robot behind by climbing to higher ground, it turns out, the robot might soon be able to climb right up beside you. Kyoto University teamed up with the University of Electro-Communications in Japan to build a robot snake that can contort its body repeatedly in order to reach the top of a ladder.
The researchers unveiled the terrifying robosnake at an annual international conference on intelligent robots this month. So far, it only knows how to climb up a ladder in a grotesque yet mesmerizing fashion.
The report on the robot snake doesn’t specify any uses for it, but imagine using it to help you climb a ladder (then running away from it in fear as its mechanical jaws snap at you). Currently, the…
Growing up Nigerian, we ate a lot of home grown vegetables. We had our own garden of fresh fruits, vegetables, yam and herbs. On the weekends, mommy made anything from bean fritters to yam and eggs or yam and vegetables. My favorite weekend breakfast was yam and egg plant sauce. Although eating egg plants did take some getting used to, I fell in love with it. It was usually fried in oil, seasoned lightly, cooked slowly and loaded with mackerel.
I have tried egg plants a lot of ways, but this recipe right here is my absolute favorite.
Eating egg plant sauce is a great way to get your healthy vegetables in; especially if you’re one of the fit fam folks who do meatless Mondays.
One reason I love this recipe is because apart from it being easy, it had a certain sweetness. I have tried some egg plants that were bitter to taste after cooking. But I found the hack and it’s boiling the egg plants until a little soft and peeling off the skin.
In finding a pocket of time, I made some egg plant sauce and viola! Yam and fried plantain toh bad!
My sauce had a lot of seeds because of the breed of egg plants I used, but regardless of the seeds, the sauce was delicious. It was a pot of sauce not to be forgotten.
For a foot note, how your egg plant sauce turns out depends on what breed of egg plants used and how you cook it.
Another reason to love this sauce is the umami; and that is the addition of locust beans. Thank you Funmi
I used Thai egg plants which are the same shape as the image below, but green in color.
You may use the purple egg plants, but those are kind of naturally sweeter so they don’t require any form of peeling.
Another good thing I like about this sauce is the fact that it feels like a tight hug, strong enough to hold you and keep you warm throughout the cooler months.
If I were you, I’d start cooking
