I consider myself a bit of a pro when it comes to shopping at Nordstrom. After all, I’ve been a loyal customer there for as long as I can remember; I write about the retailer so often that I could tell you practically every brand it carries; I’ve maneuvered my way through the racks at its headquarters in Seattle and recently explored its cool new flagship store in New York; not to mention I can navigate its website faster than you can refresh your Insta feed, and when the retailer has a sale, you can guarantee I know the best pieces to get my hands on before they sell out. So today, I wanted to share my Nordstrom knowledge with you and point out some of the best pieces to scoop up during the fall sale, taking place between November 8 and 17 (with up to 40% off!). From the best brands to shop for affordable cashmere to elevated basics and staple jeans, scroll below to see what I’m buying.

As simple as setting powder may seem, it’s actually one of the trickiest makeup products to shop for. First, you have to determine if you want a loose or a pressed formula. (They’re virtually the same but work differently depending on the application tool you choose to use—sponges, poofs, and brushes yield different finishes and results.) Then comes the difficult adventure of finding a shade that won’t read ashy, orange, or pink, OR a formula that doesn’t cake, pill, or serve flashback during your selfies.
It can take some trial and error, but for the most part, we rely heavily on word of mouth and reviews when it comes to finding a tricky product like setting powder. What’s even more interesting is that there doesn’t seem to be a huge difference between the compacts and jars that break our weekly food budget and the options coming in at around $12 or so.
To find the best drugstore setting powder options out there right now, we scoured the reviews and best-selling formulas from affordable retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Ulta to serve you up some budget-friendly, shine-banishing relief. Keep scrolling!
Such a great way to use up leftover rotisserie chicken! So easy, crispy and crunchy! Serve with guac, pico de gallo and sour cream!
I was really torn whether to classify this as an appetizer or entree.
I could (and I have) eaten most of the platter, alone, so that made it my dinner. But then I have also served this to some friends and family, which means I had to share so it unfortunately became an appetizer.
So I guess it’s both?
I don’t know. Either way, app or entree, these super crispy, crunchy taquitos comes together in a cinch with the help of leftover rotisserie along with a few pantry staples and my favorite blend of cheeses. Simply fill them up, roll them, and throw them in some hot, hot oil until super golden brown and crisp.
Serve with guacamole, pico de gallo and a dollop of sour cream. SO SO GOOD.

In a large bowl, combine chicken, green chiles, cheeses, cilantro, chili powder, cumin and hot sauce.
Working one at a time, transfer tortilla to a work surface; place 1/3 cup chicken mixture in the center of each wrapper. Bring the bottom edge of the tortilla tightly over the filling, rolling from bottom to top until the top of the tortilla is reached; secure with wooden picks. Repeat with remaining tortilla and filling.
Heat canola oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat until it reaches 375 degrees F.
Working in batches, add taquitos to the Dutch oven and cook until evenly golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. When cool enough to handle, remove wooden picks.
Serve immediately.

Newman, a 6’4” quarterback from Graham, NC, started 12 games for the Demon Deacons last season, completing nearly 61% of his pass attempts for 2,868 yards with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 2019. He also ran for 574 yards and six scores. He ranked second in the ACC in total offense with 286.8 yards per game and finish fifth in passing with 252.7 yards per game.
He decided on Georgia over Maryland, Miami, Oregon and Washington, according to Schlabach.
Newman should have a chance to start next season. The Bulldogs currently have former walk-on turned junior-college player turned scholarship quarterback Stetson Bennett on their team, but Bennett was the team’s backup last year.
Freshman D’Wan Mathis missed of all 2019 after a severe migraine triggered emergency surgery last May. He practiced with the team, but has not yet been cleared for contact, though he is expected to be cleared by next season. Four-star recruit, 2020 quarterback signee Carson Beck is also going to be part of the program next year, but the Jacksonville, Florida, native might need some additional grooming before being thrown into the SEC limelight.
